What it is, what it ain’t

This blog and the ramblings herein center around a discovery I will refer to as “The List.”  I was browsing some of my favorite blogs about Korean life, looking for ideas for a new restaurant to visit when I found a posting titled “The 100 Korean Foods You Must Eat Before You Die.”  This is The List.  As a lover of food (read: fatty), I made it my goal to complete The List in the limited time that I have remaining in Korea.

This is not meant to be a “foodie” blog.  My knowledge of Korean dishes and the culture that surrounds them is, at best, amateurish.  I simply found that some of my most memorable and rewarding experiences in this country have occurred around the dinner table (and soju bottle).  My aim is to share my experiences and encourage other people to seek out similar experiences, wherever they may be.
